Why this matters
Communities across Ghana face degraded land, declining soil fertility, unemployment, and limited livelihood opportunities. At the same time, organic waste is often left untreated, creating environmental and sanitation challenges. By transforming waste into organic fertilizer, communities can restore land, improve agricultural productivity, and create more sustainable livelihoods.
The Project
Through the Thriving Circular Communities project, Safisana will work with industrial partners and local communities to create a circular livelihoods and land restoration model. The project aims to improve soil health, strengthen livelihoods, reduce environmental pollution, and demonstrate a scalable model for resilient communities.
